Come join the fun at the grand opening of the Gilroy PETCO located at 8767 San Ysidro Avenue, on Saturday and Sunday, October 28 and 29.

Highlighting the weekend events will be a special appearance by Lisa Ayala, Pet Herbalist.

Get Fido's bark ready for the Biggest Bark Contest! Customers are encouraged to bring in their pets for the complimentary nail trim or perhaps a picture of your favorite furry friend, a professional pet photographer will be available both days. Information on obedience training and pet vaccinations will be provided. Town Cats, a local animal organization will have cats who are in search of a loving home. The fun continues with a facepainting clown.

"We have one of the best staffs at PETCO, come and see our new beautiful store with great pet supplies and cute little critters," says Kathy Shively, Store Manager. The 15,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and grooming salon.

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
