Animals are in the spotlight for this weekend's grand opening of the newly remodeled Norwalk store located at 431 Westport Avenue, Saturday and Sunday, November 7, 2000.
Visitors are encouraged to bring in their pets for fun, animal-related activities. Hamster races, a reptile show and the best pet trick contest are among the festivities. Dog obedience demonstrations and information from animal rescue organizations will be available throughout the weekend. For the kids, a face painting clown will be providing entertainment. In addition, professional pet photography will be available on Sunday.
"The expanded store offers many exciting, new features that customers will love," says Store Manager Robert Somerman. "We now have a full-service grooming salon, a beautiful bird section and an expanded assortment of premium pet products," Somerman added. The 15,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
