Pet-related fun will mark the grand opening of the Erie PETCO located at 1960 Edinboro Road, on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 and 19, 2000.
Hamster races, the ugliest reptile contest and a fat cat contest are just some of the exciting activities planned for this weekend's event. WXKC 99.9 will be providing entertainment with a live broadcast. Rainforest reptile shows and premium food demonstrations will be part of the festivities. Complimentary nail trims will be available. For the kids, a clown will be offering face painting. In addition, information on pet adoption from local animal shelters will be available throughout the weekend.
"We are very excited to be in the Erie area and are looking forward to meeting our new pet friends," says Store Manager Mark Schuster. "Everyone will love our service," Schuster adds.
The 12,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
