A fun weekend of animal-related events will mark the grand opening of the new Yonkers PETCO located at 2350 Central Park Avenue, on Saturday and Sunday, February 10 and 11.
Visitors are encouraged to bring in their talented four legged friends for the Best Trick Contest being held on Saturday. First prize for this contest is one year's supply of Nutro food. Bring your pet by our grooming salon for a complimentary nail trim. Hamster Races on Sunday will add to the fun. In addition, information will be available throughout the weekend about obedience training and low-cost vaccinations. Local animal rescue organizations will be on hand with adoption information.
"Customers will be pleased with our large assortment of premium pet supplies," says Store Manager, Joe Soehnlein. The 15,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
