A fun weekend of animal-related events will mark the grand opening of the new Waterfront PETCO located at 590 E. Waterfront Dr., on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and March 25, 2001.
Visitors to the store are encouraged to bring in their four-legged friends for exciting events like the Fat Cat and Pet trick Contests. Rainforest Reptiles will be hosting an informative and entertaining reptile show. In addition, information will be offered throughout the weekend about obedience training and low-cost vaccinations as well as information from several Animal Rescue Organizations. For the kids, a clown offering face painting will be on site.
"Pets are welcome to visit us with their owners," says Store Manager, Randolph Dillinger. The 15,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon to open in the near future.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
