PETCO announces the grand opening of the new Mt. Prospect, IL store located at 1018 Mount Prospect Plaza on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3.
Animal lovers are encouraged to bring down their furry (or not so furry) friends to participate in the contests and events being held throughout the weekend, or to have their photos taken by a professional pet photographer. Free hot dogs and soda will be available (thanks to Nutro), and clowns with face painting will be on hand to entertain the kids. There will also be a low cost vaccination clinic on site, as well as animal adoption information and opportunities.
"We are very excited about this weekend," says Store Manager Phil Dopko. "This is a great neighborhood and we are really looking forward to becoming a part of the community," Dopko added. The 15,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
