PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc. proudly announces the grand opening of the New York, NY store, located at 2475 Broadway (92nd and Broadway), Friday, September 19 through Sunday, September 21. The new store will be the fourth PETCO in Manhattan, and the 35th store in the Greater New York City region, further establishing PETCO as the area's leading pet-supply and services retailer.

This three-day celebration will include a number of contests and events to celebrate pets and their people, as well as opportunities to learn about PETCO services such as grooming, obedience training, pet photography and low-cost vaccination clinics. The event will feature entertainment for the kids as well, including clown fun and free popcorn. In addition, to demonstrate the store's commitment to adoptions, animal welfare organizations will be on hand to find loving homes for orphaned companion animals.

As part of the effort to encourage adoptions, PETCO stores offer Adoption Gift Booklets to new pet parents, with savings of up to $180 on store products and services to help welcome their new family member home.

"This is a great store in a great location on the Upper West Side," says Store General Manager Ewa Orzlak. "Pet-lovers throughout New York City have already welcomed PETCO, and we look forward to a great weekend officially introducing ourselves to the Upper West Side community."

The 15,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird area and a grooming salon. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
