PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc. will be barking up the right tree in Anaheim next week, as the leading pet supply and services company hosts their annual General Managers' Meeting and Trade Show at the Convention Center August 9 - 13. For the second year in a row this industry-leading show will be held at the happiest place on Earth, only this show -- themed "PETCO Rocks, II" -- will be 26% larger than the 2003 event, with close to 80 new vendors joining the festivities.

Media are invited to see firsthand not only the breadth of the pet supplies industry, but California-based PETCO's place in it. Here are a few highlights that you will see:

   *  Close to 400 vendors showcasing the latest in pet care and supplies

   *  The "new products" area, where our 680+ store general managers will
      select the top 25 products to be introduced to their stores

   *  Opportunities to meet our newly-formed Animal Care Advisory Council
      members

   *  Opportunities to meet our Chairman, CEO, CFO, COO and other senior
      officers

Trade show times are 1:15 - 5:30 p.m. August 10, 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. August 11, and 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. August 12. General Managers also participate in events and training on August 9 and August 12 - 13. This is a private show, but is open to media upon request.
