PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc. today announced that Charlie Piscitello, currently an executive with Boston Scientific Corporation, will join the company as senior vice president and chief people officer.
Piscitello begins his new assignment in March and will report to James M. Myers, chief executive officer.

Piscitello, 44, has extensive human resources experience in several industries. Since 2004, he has been vice president of human resources for the multibillion cardiovascular division of Boston Scientific, an $8 billion medical products company. At Boston Scientific, he led efforts that resulted in higher retention rates and stronger performance in achieving business priorities. Previously, he was senior vice president of human resources for First Data Corporation, a global credit card, merchant and payment services company. Piscitello's experience also includes senior leadership roles at Gateway Inc., where he had HR and operational responsibilities, as well as various HR assignments at Coors Brewing Co. and Abbott Laboratories. He earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Marquette University.
