SAN DIEGO, April 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Unleashed by Petco will launch a series of family-friendly events in the spring and summer featuring treasure hunts, panels with natural pet food experts and educational sessions with dog trainers. Pet owners in the local community are invited to attend the in-store events for a chance to win various prizes. The events will begin on April 25 and will come to a close on July 26 at various Unleashed by Petco locations in the San Diego area.
Unleashed by Petco's event series will include the following:
- Natural Treasure Hunt, April 25 and 26: Participate in a short treasure hunt at an Unleashed by Petco store and get a $5 'Unleashed' gift card while learning about nutrition and food labels and enjoying live music, refreshments and free product samples.
- Food and Environmental Allergy Scavenger Hunt, May 30 and 31: Scavenger hunt through an Unleashed by Petco store while learning about signs of food and environmental allergies. Participants will receive a free goody bag upon completing the hunt.
- Ask the Pet Expert – Diet for a Changing Pet, June 27 and 28: For customers interested in learning more about nutrition or quizzing a pet expert on their knowledge, join us for a Q&A with a pet expert – if the pet expert can't answer a question, participants will win a surprise prize determined by spinning the store's prize wheel. Prizes include a $25 'Unleashed' gift card.
- Teach Your Dog New Tricks – "Spin on Command," July 25 and 26: Customers can meet an 'Unleashed' dog trainer for a day of fun while playing "spin on command" with the store's prize wheel. If the spin on command wheel lands on a command like "sit," "stay" and/or "come," and the customer's dog follows the command, the pet parent will win a free 1lb. bag of treats from Unleashed by Petco's treat bar with a Pals card. If customers sign up for a class that day (Puppy Level 1 or 2/Adult Level 1 or 2), they will receive 20 percent off valuable training products with a Pals card.
