As Chief Technology Officer at Petco, Asad oversees the company’s information technology blueprint, managing its leadership, innovation, and development. His responsibilities include implementing business and technical strategies, fostering innovation, transformation, governing cyber and compliance and leading a global team.
Before joining Petco, Asad held prominent executive positions at various multinational, public and private companies. Notably, he served as the Chief Technology Officer for Restoration Hardware (RH). During his tenure at RH, he spearheaded a leadership team that transformed the company’s enterprise technology and product, positioning RH as a global leader. Prior to RH he held key leadership roles, serving as a technology executive for Hallmark Cards and Verint Systems.
To support emerging talent and innovation, Asad advises technology startup companies and mentors up-and-coming leaders. He currently serves on the board of directors for multiple startups.
Asad holds a master’s degree in business administration from University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from San Jose State University. He is based at Petco's National Support Center in San Diego.
