Pet-owners and would-be pet-owners are invited to the exciting festivities planned for the grand opening of the relocated Folsom PETCO located at 855 East Bidwell Street, on Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10, 2000. The new store replaces the store located at 1001 East Bidwell Street.

Visitors to the store are encouraged to bring in their four-legged friends for free nail trimming, a low-cost microchipping clinic and a low-cost vaccination clinic. A professional pet photographer and obedience training information will also be available. In addition, five different animal rescue organizations will be offering pet adoptions and information throughout the weekend. A professional pet psychic, two clowns and Big Bob Grabau's Blues Band round out the weekend's highlights.

"Customers are going to love our new, bigger store," says Store Manager Mike Burford. "We are now able to offer a larger selection of premium pet products as well as live animals and services such as grooming," Burford added. The 17,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
