PETCO is planning an exciting weekend to celebrate the grand opening of their relocated Thousand Oaks store located at 140 West Hillcrest Drive #101, on Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8, 2000. The new store replaces the previous location at 140 West Hillcrest Drive #113.

Highlighting the event will be an appearance by pet psychic, Guinevere, on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Guinevere has over 17 years of experience communicating with animals and will help store visitors chat with their cats and pick their pooch's brain. Other animal-related activities include professional pet photography, a Fat Cat Contest, a Dog/Owner Look-alike Contest and pet adoptions from L.I.F.E. Animal Rescue.

"The new store is twice as large as the old location and allows us to offer many exciting features that customers will love," says Store Manager Chris Holsinger. "We have a beautiful aquatics section and an expanded assortment of premium pet products," Holsinger added. The 8,900 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums and a bird room.

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
