PETCO is planning a fun and informative weekend to celebrate the grand opening of the new Sugarhouse store located at 1169 East Wilmington Avenue, on Saturday and Sunday, October 14 and 15, 2000.
Highlighting the weekend's special events will be visits by three animal rescue organizations. Responsible pet owners will be able to adopt abandoned animals from Second Chance Rescue, Greyhound Rescue and Hearts Rescue. Pet owners are encouraged to bring in their four-legged friends for professional pet photography. There will also be entertainment for the whole family provided by two clowns, a Children's Duck Pond Game and a Children's Lollipop Tree Game.
"This will be an exciting but educational grand opening," says Store Manager Bruce Swift. "We want visitors to have a good time, but we also want everyone to realize that owning a pet is a responsibility," Swift added. The 14,800 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
