Pet-related fun will mark the grand opening of the Douglasville PETCO located at 9559 Highway 5, on Saturday and Sunday, November 11 and 12, 2000.
Special events include a live radio broadcast with WPCH-FM 94.9 on Saturday. A Singing Dog Contest will be sure to start the fun, with a year's supply of free food from Nutro being awarded as the first prize. Sunday's highlighted events include the Fat Cat contest. To help get your feline back in shape, a year's supply of free food from Pro Plan, light formula will be offered for first prize in this contest. Free nail trims will be available both days. For the kids, a clown will be on hand both days offering face painting. In addition, information will be offered on animal adoptions and obedience training.
"We are a community based store and are looking forward to meeting our new pet friends," says Store Manager Glenn Abney.
The 14,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
