Pet-related fun will mark the grand opening of the newly relocated Westwood PETCO located at 1873 Westwood Blvd., on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25.
Highlights of the weekend's activities will include information regarding obedience training and a special "Meet the Vet" table offering information on low cost vaccinations. In addition, a caricature artist will be on hand and there will be demonstrations by numerous premium food vendors. For the kids, there will be a petting zoo and a clown offering face painting. Animal Adoption and Rescue groups will be present offering information and adoptions.
"We are a community based store and are looking forward to the services we can now provide in this location," says Store Manager Michael Glunt.
The new 15,250 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon to open in early May.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
