There will be fun for the entire family at the grand opening of the relocated West Hollywood PETCO located at 508 N. Doheny Dr., on Saturday and Sunday, June 2 and 3, 2001. The new store replaces the previous location at 8905 Melrose Ave.
Highlighting the weekend's special events will be a Fat Cat Contest. Visitors are encouraged to bring in their felines for a chance to win exciting prizes. Four-legged visitors to the store can also take advantage of a pet psychic and professional pet photography. For the kids, a clown will offer face painting, plus Blue Mews will make appearances throughout the weekend. In addition, several rescue groups will be on hand offering information and pet adoptions.
"Customers are going to love our new, bigger store," says Store Manager William Parks. "We can now offer 10,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird aviary and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
