National pet retailer, PETCO, is planning an exciting weekend to celebrate the grand opening of their first Las Cruces store located at 3505 E. Lohman Ave., on Saturday and Sunday, July 14 and 15, 2001.
Highlighting the weekend's events will include hamster races, a ball toss, bike raffle and a horse and wagon ride. For the kids, there will be a face painting clown, a castle jump and a coloring table. In addition, several animal rescue groups will be on hand to answer questions and provide companion animal adoptions.
"We're thrilled to be bringing PETCO to Las Cruces," says Store Manager Larry Clark. "Visitors are going to love our full assortment of premium pet supplies and superior customer service," Clark added. The 12,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
