An exciting weekend of animal-related activities will mark the grand opening of the new Greece PETCO located at 2373 Ridge Road West, on Saturday and Sunday, July 21 and 22, 2000.
Festivities kick off with the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m. Saturday. Visitors are encouraged to bring in their pets for the Best Dressed Pet Contest, Fat Cat Contest and Hamster Races. The fanciest pet, most portly cat and speediest hamster could win exciting prizes. In addition, a pet photographer, demonstrations by Rainforest Reptiles, and a Basset Hound Rescue will be on hand throughout the weekend. For the kids, there will be face painting and a petting zoo.
"Customers will love PETCO's superstore format," says Store Manager Kevin Weyrauch. "We offer a full assortment of premium pet supplies and superior customer service," Weyrauch added. The 16,048 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
