Pet-related fun will mark the grand opening of the Golden PETCO located at 17132 W. Colfax Ave., on Saturday and Sunday, July 21 and 22, 2001.
Pet pictures are the highlights of the weekend's activities as both a caricature artist and a pet photographer will be on hand. In addition, there will be free toenail trims and information about obedience training. For the kids there will be a clown offering face painting and a dinosaur jump. Several animal rescue organizations will also be on hand to provide pet adoptions and information throughout the weekend.
"We are extremely excited to be here and are looking forward to being part of the community," says Store Manager Sterling Badon. The 12,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.
