There will be fun for the entire family at the grand opening of the relocated Palmdale PETCO at 38522 10th St. West, on Saturday and Sunday, August 18 and 19, 2001. The new store replaces the previous location at 2553 E. Palmdale Blvd.
Highlights of the festivities include the appearance of TV personality Dick Van Patten, promoting his dog food line, Natural Balance on Saturday. In addition a caricature artist will be available for pictures of your favorite pet. For the kids, there will be a clown offering face painting and a waterslide. Hilton Rescue Group will be available throughout the weekend offering pet adoptions and information.
"Customers are going to love our new, bigger store," says Store Manager John Wyatt. "We can now offer a much larger selection of premium pet products and an assortment of live animals," Wyatt added. The 12,500 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room, and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
