PETCO announces the grand opening of the new Midland, MI store located at 921 Joe Mann Blvd. on Saturday February 23 and Sunday February 24, 2002.
Animal lovers are encouraged to bring down their furry (or not so furry) friends to participate in the Best Dressed Pet Contest to compete for exciting prizes or have their photos taken by a professional pet photographer. Free toenail clips will be offered throughout the weekend, as well as information about obedience training. For the kids, there will be a clown offering face painting and balloons. There will also be hamster races on Saturday, and the store will be offering some give-aways, including pet food for a year and a $100 gift certificate.
"This is going to be a terrific grand opening," says Store Manager Tom Dougherty. "Visitors are going to love our full assortment of premium pet supplies and superior customer service," Dougherty added. The 15,000 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
