PETCO announces the grand opening of the new Bailey's Crossroads, VA store located at 5825 Leesburg Pike on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday March 3.

Animal lovers are encouraged to bring down their furry (or not so furry) friends to participate in a variety of contests, get information about professional pet photography, obedience training and low coast vaccinations, or just to take them into the store to let them pick out their own toy. The event will feature entertainment for the kids as well, including a clown with face painting and balloons, hamster races, a coloring contest and free popcorn and cotton candy.

"We can't wait for this weekend," says Store Manager Steve Satran. "This grand opening is a great opportunity to introduce ourselves to the community," Satran added. The 13,042 square foot store features a small animal and reptile area, fresh and saltwater fish aquariums, a bird room and a grooming salon.

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
