PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc. today announced that Michael E. Foss will join the company as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Foss will begin his new assignment in April and will report to James M. Myers, chief executive officer.
"We are delighted to welcome Mike to PETCO," Myers said. He will be a tremendous addition to the PETCO team as we extend our leadership in the pet specialty category."
Foss, 49, joins PETCO after spending four years as chief financial officer at Circuit City, a $12 billion, 600-plus store retailer offering consumer electronics products and services. At Circuit City, he was an executive vice president and has served on its board of directors since 2006. Prior to Circuit City, Foss held several positions, including executive vice president of corporate/business development, and CFO, with TeleTech Holdings, Inc., a global provider of customer management services for large companies. Previously, he held various senior positions at the Eastman Kodak Company, including chief executive of Kodak's Picturevision Inc. subsidiary. Earlier in his career, Foss spent 12 years with IBM.
Foss earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Washington and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
