As part of its commitment to pet health, PETCO now provides the largest selection of natural and organic foods of any national pet store. To help educate pet parents on the best natural options for their pet's unique needs, PETCO will host pet parents at Natural Neighborhood Festivals taking place Saturday, April 10 in PETCO stores nationwide.
Festival attendees will receive a FREE one-on-one nutrition consultation with a Certified Nutrition Expert to determine the natural food options best suited to their pet's dietary needs. In addition, pet parents will learn about all-natural grooming services and observe the latest dog-training techniques.
"We are deeply committed to helping pets live the healthiest and longest lives possible," said Jim Myers, PETCO CEO. "Offering an industry-leading assortment of natural products and hosting educational events like the Natural Neighborhood Festival are just two examples of how we help pet parents provide the healthiest lifestyle for their pets."
The Natural Neighborhood Festival will take place at each of the more than 1,000 PETCO locations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time Saturday, April 10. During the festival, PETCO will showcase its vast offering of natural and organic foods and supplies. Bringing together all natural and organic options into a single location within the store, pet parents will easily find food and supplies that are best-suited to their pet's needs.
An expanded version of the PETCO Natural Neighborhood Festival will also take place beachfront at 2030 Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica, California from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pet parents will hear from Good Morning America's resident veterinarian Dr. Marty Becker and Martha Stewart Living Radio's CAT CHAT host Tracie Hotchner, in addition to experiencing a 'Great Downward Dog' yoga class led by pet yoga instructor Amy Stevens.
Pets will also be pampered with doggy massages and receive free products from Isle of Dogs NATURALUXURY, a collection of all natural luxury canine beauty products used by Westminster champions; enjoy a sampling of natural foods and treats; and have the opportunity to see Natural Balance's surfing and skateboarding dog, Tillman, in action.
In support of PETCO's Think Adoption First philosophy, the Jason D. Heigl Foundation will be on-site with adoptable dogs from their Heigl Hounds of Hope program, focused on rescuing medium to large dogs from high-kill shelters throughout Southern California. The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation was founded by Katherine and Nancy Heigl in memory of a wonderful son and brother.
