Chief Human Resources Officer
As Chief Human Resources Officer, Holly is responsible for driving a people-first HR and Communications strategy that supports Petco’s business roadmap and is grounded in our mission to improve the lives of pets, pet parents and our own Petco partners (employees).
Holly brings extensive expertise supporting employee wellbeing and two decades of experience leading HR and ESG functions through innovative policies, programs and practices. Holly is a passionate supporter of disability representation, mental health and fostering inclusive workplaces that care for team members as whole people, where each individual can be their most authentic self and perform at their best.
Prior to joining Petco, Holly served as EVP & Global Chief Human Resources Officer for Walgreens Boots Alliance. She led all aspects of the organization’s global HR and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) functions — supporting over 300,000 employees. Previously, Holly was the Chief Human Resources Officer of Abercrombie & Fitch and has also held executive leadership roles at Starbucks, Visa, Voya Financial and ING.
To fully immerse herself in our unique, 360-degree pet health and wellness ecosystem, Holly started her Petco career working alongside Petco partners at our veterinary hospitals, pet care and distribution centers. She and the entire Petco leadership team routinely visit Petco locations to get to know, support and gain feedback from our diverse community of more than 29,000 pet-loving team members.
Holly is based at Petco’s National Support Center in San Diego. She graduated from Wellesley College and earned her Master of Finance degree from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
