As SVP, Enterprise Analytics and Data Science, John Carcasi guides Petco’s overall advanced analytics and data strategy, and is responsible for leveraging key insights to drive growth across the enterprise.
With nearly three decades of retail planning and business development experience, John has a strong track record of translating raw data into actionable insights that drive business results.
Throughout his 10-year tenue at Petco, John has been recognized for leading high-performing planning teams that have contributed to key initiatives across merchandising, supply chain, real estate, construction and more. Prior to his current role, John served as SVP of Central Planning and Real Estate. Before that, he led Petco’s supply chain, merchandise planning and inventory, as well as pricing.
Prior to Petco, John served in a number of leadership positions in merchandise planning and allocation at JC Penney.
As a firm believer that we are enriched by the diversity of talent, backgrounds, experiences and ideas our Petco partners (employees) bring, John was the founding executive sponsor of the company’s Ability at Petco employee resource group, which is dedicated to supporting Petco team members who have a disability and/or loved ones with disabilities. John holds a master of business administration degree focused on retailing from Texas A&M University, in addition to a bachelor’s degree in history from the same institution. He is based in San Antonio, Texas.
