As SVP of Merchandise Planning, Inventory & Supply Chain, Tim oversees Petco’s end-to-end supply chain, including inventory, distribution, and transportation. He also leads merchandising planning operations.
An accomplished retail executive, Tim brings over 30 years of experience across inventory management, product distribution and fulfillment, space management, merchandise planning, and retail sales and operations.
He joined Petco in 2022 as Vice President of Merchandise Planning and Inventory Management. His contributions to the business earned him a promotion to Senior Vice President in 2023, and he assumed additional responsibility as Head of Supply Chain in 2024. As the leader of Petco’s supply chain transformation, Tim most recently led the strategy and implementation of Petco’s enhanced inventory operating model.
Prior to Petco, Tim spent 23 years at Best Buy, where he served in leadership positions across inventory management, product distribution and fulfillment, supply chain operations, merchandising planning, and space management. He began his career at Target, where he held various retail operation roles.
Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Saint Cloud State University. He and his family — including their beloved 14-year-old shih tzu, Maisy — are located in Minnesota. In his personal time, Tim enjoys participating in outdoor sports such as mountain biking and skiing.
